You’re Not Defined by the Last Play—It’s About the Next One

I am Phillip Livas, a Provisionally Licensed Professional Counselor (PLPC) in the state of Louisiana (License #10966) and the founder of Next Play Behavioral Services. My journey in the helping profession began at Louisiana Tech University, where I earned a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology. I later earned a Master’s degree in School Counseling from Nicholls State University, where I developed a strong foundation in supporting the emotional, academic, and social needs of children and adolescents.
At Next Play Behavioral Services, my mission is to help individuals and families navigate life’s challenges with clarity, confidence, and resilience. I am passionate about creating a supportive environment that encourages personal growth and positive change. My approach integrates evidence-based therapeutic techniques with empathy and collaboration, empowering clients to develop effective coping skills and build stronger relationships.
Whether working with children, teens, or adults, I believe in meeting clients where they are and guiding them toward their “next play” — the next step toward healing, growth, and success.
